Bike Computer for Apple Watch — forget the rest.
Now you can enjoy cycling with Bike Computer on Apple Watch
We have been working on the Apple Watch support and are now ready to release it.
With this release, you can easily track your route directly on your watch, so no need to take your phone out of the pocket while going for a ride.
Set up Bike Computer on your Apple Watch:
· Download the Bike Computer app on your iPhone if you haven’t already.
· Open the “My Watch” section of the Apple Watch app on your phone.
· Find the Bike Computer app to install on your watch. If it’s already installed on your Watch, then open the app on your Watch. If it’s not installed, tap on Install next to Bike Computer in the Watch App.
· Open the Bike Computer app on your Watch. You will be prompted (on your phone) to authorize Bike Computer for Apple Watch.
Recording an activity with the Apple Watch app:
If you have a Series 1 or 1st Generation Apple Watch, you will have to carry your phone with you to record GPS data. The recording experience is the same as with Series 2 and 3 — the app functions independently on the watch. Please note that the phone will not visibly respond when you record activity even when it is collecting GPS data. You can record activities on your Apple Watch Series 2 or 3 without carrying your phone.
· The first time you record you will be prompted to accept location, Health permissions, legal disclaimer, and notifications when you open the Apple Watch app.
· During your recording, you’ll be able to view your current time, average pace of your current split, or average overall split pace (tap the screen to toggle between the two,) total distance, and heart rate.
· You can enable real-time audio feedback to alert you when you start, pause, resume, and stop your activity.
· When you’ve finished recording, hit Stop to see the resume/finish screen. Tap Save to upload the activity. In the end you must open the App on your phone to upload your route.
· You can view any activities that haven’t yet synced by navigating to the Settings page and tapping Un-synced. Once an activity has synced to your Bike Computer account, you will no longer see it in the un-synced section.
Please send us feedback
We will be looking into adding more to our Apple Watch App, more news on that later.
Also, we are more than happy to receive feedback on our first release, so feel free to share your thoughts with us.
Enjoy the ride!
